Our foremost ministry at St. John the Wonderworker is to grow closer to God, uproot our passions, and renew our spiritual life through prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. Christian living and theology are one indivisible reality experienced in the heart. As community-wide efforts to reach out to the greater Eugene-Springfield area, St. John the Wonderworker supports the all-volunteer Pilgrim’s Way Bookstore (est. 1991), the St. John the Wonderworker Family Camp (est. 2000), the First Saturday Neighborhood Breakfast (est. 2004), and the Onion Dome Food Booth (est. 2012).
The “Our Ministries” section of the website describes our particular outreach and participation in the Eugene-Springfield area:
- “Pilgrim’s Way Bookstore” is the webpage for our all-volunteer bookstore.
- “St. John’s Family Camp” is the webpage for our annual family camp.
- “First Saturday Neighborhood Breakfast” describes our ministry to feed our neighbors.
- “The Onion Dome” describes the food booth we host at the annual neighborhood block party.
